In my 20+ years traveling as an author and journalist, I’ve always gone the extra mile to support an independently owned business. And my experiences have been richer because of it.

As a busy freelance food and travel writer, I’ve written and updated guidebooks (Michelin Must Sees Guide to New Orleans, Access Philadelphia, Access New Orleans, ) co-authored cookbooks (City Tavern Cookbook, Impress for Less: Finally Restaurant Recipes You Can Really Make At Home) and written thousands of food and travel articles for online and print media.

Wherever I am, I celebrate authentic experiences for readers aimed at giving them more than the usual tourist stops. My work is regularly published in outlets including AAA Traveler, Fodors, Southern Living, Go!, Wells Fargo Conversations, orbitz,  Boston Globe, Philadelphia Daily News, Inside Jersey Magazine, Jewish Exponent/Inside Magazine, Porthole and many more.

I am a member of  Society of American Travel Writers and Les Dames de Escoffier.

When I’m not traveling, I live in New Orleans with my rescued critters Ruby and Louis A.
